Jan Krmelj will present his poetry collection EAR, published last year by Beletrina, and his book THE STATE, which will be published in June by Črna Skrinjica Publishing House, in the form of a sound intervention by the Drava River. As a theatre, literary and sound artist, he explores the potentials of the sensibility of human expression in collision with the phenomenon of surveillance capitalism and, through autobiographical stories, descends into surreal soundscapes in which change is the only constant. His work celebrates the fluidity of our identities, our liberation from history and establishes an attempt to move away from the violence and wounds that define us in the brutal beginning of a century.
